We pride ourselves on offering a variety of energy saving and water conservation efforts.
Energy efficient bulbs – We use halogen incandescent bulbs, compact fluorescent lights (CFLs), and light emitting diode bulbs (LEDs) whenever possible. They use between 25-80% less electricity and last three to 25 times longer than traditional bulbs.
Programmable thermostats – In an effort to eliminate wasteful energy usage, we install programmable thermostats. They automatically turn off or reduce heating and cooling during specific times.
HVAC systems – ENERGY STAR heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment (HVAC) are between 6 – 16% more energy efficient than baseline models.
Energy efficient appliances – Did you know appliances are responsible for about 12-13% of the total household energy use? Energy efficient appliances cost up to 25% lower than the standard non-efficient models. Appliances with the ENERGY STAR label hold the federal guarantee that it will consume less energy during use and when on standby than the
Windows – By replacing single-pane windows with double-pane windows, you can reduce unnecessary heat loss by up to 20% in the colder months and reduce heat gain inside the home during the warmer seasons.
Water Conservation – We install low-flow toilets and faucets and aerators in each of the units we renovate via the Fannie Mae Green Rewards program.
