AMENITY RENOVATIONS UNDERWAY AT ECHELON

PHOENIX, AZ: Adivo Construction today announced the commencement of leasing office and laundry amenity renovations at Echelon, a multifamily apartment complex in the Camelback Corridor of Phoenix, AZ.  

Exterior renovations are underway, with the amenity upgrades following not far behind.  The asset owner’s strategy is to complete both exterior and amenity renovations by Spring 2021, in time for kick off of the unit interior renovations.  

Traditionally, unit interior renovations would be at the top of the docket as beautifully remodeled units translate to higher ROI, but so does a fully-amenitized property!

DESIGN

Thoughtbarn, an architectural practice based in Texas, combined their creativity and extensive knowledge of the market to design the two amenities.  As with the interior and exterior unit renovations, the design intent for both the leasing office and laundry center is to preserve the mid-century originality of the community as a whole, with a modern twist.  It is interesting to note that before being transformed into the community it is today, Echelon was once a hotel.

LEASING OFFICE 

One of the community’s first impressions for a potential tenant is the leasing office.  Echelon’s leasing office will go under a complete renovation in its current location – what was once the hotel’s office.  Adivo will tap into their custom millwork expertise to create a one-of-a-kind reception desk, coffee and display area, alcove desk, and breakroom cabinets, as well as install wood panel walls.

LAUNDRY AMENITY

Residents will not have to lug their heavy laundry baskets to the laundromat after the new laundry amenity is completed.  Located in what was once a maintenance and storage facility, the laundry center will provide a space for residents to meet and interact, creating a sense of community.  The design and colors of the facility are representative of the mid-century modern look and feel – from the color palette to the materials chosen for the flooring and seating areas.   

Adivo will build custom waiting booths and a coffee bar, along with the installation of wood paneling for the walls.  

THE PHOENIX MARKET

Adivo also recently began interior and exterior renovations at GIO Apartments, also in Phoenix.  Costar reports demand for multifamily housing in Phoenix and the outlying areas has outpaced new supply for nine consecutive years.  Adivo is looking forward to the current and future multifamily renovation projects in this booming sector.
